week 9

Prior to leaving for the long weekend, I had a fantastic week of connecting with some innovative Somerville folks. I had a business meeting with a friend who runs Somerville Local First- a grassroots initiative to boost local economies. I shared the financial projections and profit model for my business with him. He was extremely supportive and gave me some key pointers. I also stopped by the Design Annex in Union Sq. and met a cool girl who I’ll be co-working with soon. There’s also a copy of The Rise of the Creative Class that I spotted and want to read when I go back. I also made a co-working buddy at the coffee shop who shared with me all her fave wi-fi spots. 

Good stuff. I think it’s time to co-work in public places. Mingle mingle. Work work.
