An older, wiser friend of mine gave me this advice recently…

There’s something powerful about silence. Even between people. An ‘unspoken alliance’ is stronger than a verbalized agreement. I’m learning to observe more, talk less. Poker face on. 

Being candid is still me, but it doesn’t work for all occasions.
